Recent disputes
Samir Modi had said in June that his mother had planned a physical attack on him during a board meeting for the company. He claimed that his mother’s security guards prevented him from attending the May 30 board meeting of Godfrey Phillips India and that he was “grievously injured” as a result. “This attack was orchestrated because of greed and to deprive me of my rights, my inheritance and with the intention to kill me or make me settle on their dictated terms,” he wrote in his complaint.
