The pair had previously described Owens’ remarks as “extremely upsetting.” The defamation complaint required Mrs. Macron to “subject herself to [it] in a very public way,” but she was prepared to do so, according to her legal team. According to the report, the well-known streamer made repeated references to the claim—the real name of her older brother prior to her transition at the age of 30—on her YouTube channel over the course of several months.
