After reportedly verbally and physically abusing a guy after a parking disagreement at a hotel, a BJP representative from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, was taken into custody. The accused, Vikul Chaprana, 28, is the BJP’s Kisan Morcha district vice-president, according to the police.
As Vikul is throwing verbal assaults, a man named Satyam Rastogi is seen in the widely shared video bending in a gesture of repentance. There are some police cops behind the bowing.
In addition, Vikul’s friends are shown menacing the man and a companion while smashing car windows. According to the Indian Express, a parking conflict is alleged to have caused the violence.

Akhilesh Yadav posted the video on X, claiming that it was taken on October 19 at the Tejgarhi Medical Police Station in Meerut.
After police took notice of the video, the BJP politician was taken into custody on Tuesday, according to Superintendent of Police Ayush Vikram Singh.
According to the SP, a video showing two groups bickering with one another has gone viral. Additionally, one group is seen disparaging the other. According to reports, this event took place near the Medical Nagar Police Station.
“Further legal action is being taken, and the principal accused has been arrested and a formal complaint has been filed under the applicable sections,”
Aditya Rastogi, the victim’s younger brother and a Noida software developer, filed the case.
He stated in the complaint, “My brother Satyam Rastogi and his buddy went to eat at the Punjabi Tadka restaurant near Tejghari Square in Meerut on Sunday at around 10 pm. An altercation with Vikul Chaprana occurred there. He and his companions threatened my brother and his friend, acted indecently, and attacked them.
Shivkumar Rana, the district president for the BJP, told PTI, “We have noticed the video. Such behavior is not tolerated by the party. He added that the issue has been communicated to state and regional authorities.
